WASPA maintains a list of highly-qualified consultants who can partner with public school districts or private schools in Wisconsin who are seeking Human Resources expertise and knowledge. WASPA Consultants work as an independent contractor either performing day-to-day work or completing specialized projects. What is a WASPA Human Resources Consultant?A WASPA Human Resources consultant is a Human Resources Professional who contracts with one or more districts or schools to provide a variety of HR-related services to that organization. These might include helping the district develop a benefits package, developing a recruitment plan, assisting with job analysis or pay grading, providing staff and administrator training on a variety of topics, or providing other HR related initiatives. WASPA Human Resources Consultants may advise on general HR matters in areas of specialized expertise, such as benefits or labor relations. The arrangement between the employing district and the consultant can be tailored to whatever works best for the consultant and district/school. Consultants may work collaboratively with administrators, perform research, or present options for the district/school to consider regarding certain situations. Application ProcessWASPA is a premier organization of Public School Professionals in the state of Wisconsin. Therefore, to be included on WASPA’s consultant list, consultants should be highly respected, skilled leaders with the utmost professionalism and impeccable work ethic.
WASPA will make the determination in its sole discretion whether to accept someone’s application to be a WASPA consultant. Annual Re-Verification ProcessThere is a re-verification process in which consultants will be sent an annual commitment of interest form from WASPA to remain on the consultant list, as well as continued proof of professional liability insurance in designated amounts. WASPA reserves the right, in its sole discretion and at any time, to end someone’s status as a WASPA consultant.
